Nagpur: RSS Chief, Mohan Bhagwat reacted for the first time to the controversies surrounding cow slaughter in India. Giving an example of African country, Kenya, he said that Kenya has also banned cow slaughter.
Addressing a gathering at a cultural festival in Nagpur, Bhagwat said that Kenyans drink cow’s blood but won’t kill it.
Earlier, RSS mouthpiece Panchjanya, in its cover story justified the killing of Mohammad Akhlaq over the rumour of beef consumption in Dadri. It also claimed that Vedas mandate killing of those who slaughter cows.
