Kejriwal exempted VIPs from odd-even formula to avoid confrontation: BJP

New Delhi: Responding to Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s son in-law Robert Vadra’s statement that VIPs should not be exempted from ‘odd-even formula’ of the Delhi Government, Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP) leader Vijay Goel on Saturday said the Arvind Kejriwal Government was doing it to avoid confrontations with higher-ups.

“There was no need to exempt VIPs, as they had not sought it. In order to avoid confrontation, the Arvind Kejriwal Government is giving exemption to VIPs so that the matter doesn’t go to higher-ups,” he said.

Lambasting the government for “not being fully prepared”, even as it’s going to implement the odd-even formula,” Goel said, “When Chief Minister Kejriwal himself says they are experimenting for 15 days, how seriously people will take it.”

“Rich and middle class people can afford to buy two vehicles, but where will the poor go? Only 30 percent Delhi is covered by the Metro Rail service, how other people will travel,” he sought to know from the Delhi Government. (ANI)
