KCR will join NDA after GHMC polls: Palwai

Congress MP Palwai Govardhan Reddy on Thursday claimed that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao will join the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre after the GHMC elections.

Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, Palwai said that KCR has almost finalised the talks with the NDA and he plans to induct his daughter and Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha as minister in the cabinet of Prime Minister Narender Modi. He had shown some clippings of newspapers to substantiate his claim. He said KCR was joining the NDA to protect himself from the CBI enquiry against him into the ESI Hospitals scam.

The Rajya Sabha MP also said that KCR was wrongly highlighting himself as the champion of Telangana. He said everyone, including Congress leaders, have participated in the statehood movement and credit for Telangana formation could not be taken by one single person. He also claimed that Congress candidate Sarve Satyanarayana would win the Warangal by-elections with a majority of over two lakh votes. (INN)
