TDP senior leader and party’s national politburo member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy today alleged that the TRS government, just by declaring drought mandals, was trying to wash its hands leaving farmers in the lurch without extending any financial help to them. Not a single mandal was declared a drought affected mandal in Adilabad district, he bemoaned.
Addressing the media here on Thursday, Ravula said the government merely announced names of mandals without taking any relief work. He said the TRS government should have sent a report to the Centre seeking financial help to take relief measures in the drought affected mandals on a war footing. Instead of taking any concrete measures to help the distressed farmers, KCR was busy with criticizing TDP, Ravula alleged. (NSS)
