KCR remembered Abid Ali Khan

Hyderabad: In a high level meeting of the officials held yesterday, Mr. KCR recollected the reminisces of late Mr. Abid Ali Khan, founder Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily and applauded his passion for resolving the issues pertaining to Muslims.

Authentic sources indicated that Mr. KCR while discussing the issues pertaining to the welfare of minorities in a meeting of the officials, recollected that as MLA of Siddipet, he had invited Mr. Abid Ali Khan for the inauguration of a marriage hall. He remembered that the scheme pertaining to the construction of Muslim marriage halls and Iftar parties is an effort of his proposal. He also told that he had started first Iftar party in his Assembly constituency which was attended by only 20 persons. In the next year, 2000 persons participated in it. When the then CM of A.P., Mr. NTR came to know of it, he called Mr. KCR and sought information about the construction of marriage halls and Iftar parties. Mr. NTR sanctioned these schemes at his instance and in this manner, Iftar parties were initiated at governmental level.

Recollecting the old memories, Mr. KCR advised the state officials to do a unique work which could be remembered eternally.
