KCR promises to develop Warangal like Hyderabad

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has promised to develop Warangal on par with Hyderabad if his party’s candidate P. Dayakar gets elected from Warangal Lok Sabha seat in the by-elections to be held on November 21.

Addressing a massive public meeting at Arts College Grounds on Tuesday evening, KCR said that the TRS Government would ensure sustained and overall development of Warangal. He said Warangal would be developed as education hub and a Textiles Park would also be established. He asked people to punish TRS in the by-elections if his government has failed to deliver so far. Else, he said people should punish the opposition parties who are leveling baseless allegations against the TRS Government.

KCR listed out various schemes being implemented by his government in the State. He said energy crisis was resolved in the first six months of power. He reiterated the promise of supplying nine hour power to farm sector from March next year. He said Telangana has emerged as the welfare state and the State Government has enhanced pension amount for all categories of beneficiaries. He also reiterated his government’s resolved to construct 60,000 2BHK houses this year by spending Rs. 4,000 crore.

The Chief Minister strongly condemned opposition leaders for criticising TRS Government. He said former union minister S. Jana Reddy of compromising on the issue of Telangana to get a berth in the cabinet of the then Chief Minister Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy. He ridiculed BJP President G. Kishan Reddy for targeting TRS Government for non-performance while remaining silent over BJP-led NDA Government’s negligent attitude towards Telangana.

He appealed to the people to elect the TRS candidate to continue the pace of development in the State. (INN)
