KCR not serious on Telangana development: Ponguleti

Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Wednesday alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was not serious on the development of Telangana State.

Speaking to media persons at Congress Legislature Party office here, Ponguleti alleged that the Chief Minister was running “Bangaru Telangana Private Limited” and were promoting only contractors and builders. He said that the Chief Minister has given a free hand to realtors to go ahead with constructions without worrying about any permission. He said several lakes have been turned into dumping yards. He also alleged that the TRS Government was promoting Andhra contractors and Water Grid works worth Rs. 25,900 crore have been assigned to them.

Ponguleti also slammed the TRS Government for not including 22 mandals of Khammam in the list of drought hit mandals. He said Khammam farmers lost almost 2.5 lakh acres of crop due to drought and non-release of water from Nagarjuna Sagar Left canal. (INN)
