Chief Minister Mr. K Chandrashekar Rao met Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today in New Delhi. KCR requested Sri Jaitley to raise the ceiling on market borrowings from the current 3% of GSDP to 3.5% of GSDP. KCR has quoted XIV Finance Commission’s recommendation to grant such exemption to States with surplus revenue. In another letter, Chief Minister has requested the Union Finance Minister to grant the Income Tax exemption to Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority and make appropriate provision in the Finance Act, 2016.
