Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had a 40 minutes meeting with KV Kamath, President and Xian Zhu, Vice President of New Development Bank Shanghai.
The Bank of Shanghai is a very new bank in the process of formulating funding policies. They focus on infrastructure development in developing countries. It was a very interesting meeting. KCR sought their help in funding Urban development projects, including waste to energy, irrigation etc. They positively responded.
Earlier in the morning, the Chief Minister, along with the delegation accompanying him, reached Shanghai from Dalian after attending WEF meeting yesterday. Shanghai, on China’s central coast, is the country’s biggest city and a global financial hub. Its heart is the Bund, a famed waterfront walkway lined with colonial-era buildings.
The Chief Minister will have industry interactions in the evening on the subject “Investment Opportunities in Telangana”. (INN)
