KCR condoles death of TS pilgrims in Makkah crane tragedy

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has expressed deep shock over the death of two Haj pilgrims from Telangana in the incident of crane crash at Holy Makkah.

The pilgrims, Shameem Banu and Khader Bee, had gone for the pilgrimage through private tour operators. Two more pilgrims, Mohammed Hameed Khan and his wife Anees were also injured in the incident. The Chief Minister, who is on China tour, spoke to CMO Special Secretary K. Bhupal Reddy over phone and enquired about the incident.

The Chief Minister also directed the officials to start a helpline for the pilgrims who went through the Telangana State Haj Committee. Following his advise, the SHC started a Helpline Number: 040-23214125.

Meanwhile, the SHC officials gathered information about the deceased pilgrims from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia authorities. (INN)
