KCR attends Kishta Reddy’s last rites

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today attended the last rites of Congress legislator from Narayankhed, Patlolla Krishna Reddy alias Kishta Reddy at Panchagam village in Medak district. The Chief Minister paid tributes to the departed leader by placing a wreath on his body.

The last rites were held with Government honours and gun salute. Ministers T Harish Rao, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, A Indrakaran Reddy, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender, Congress leader N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Bhattivikramarka K Jana Reddy, J Geetha Reddy, V Hanumantha Rao, C Damaodara Rajanarsimha and D K Aruna were among those who attended the event.

Kishta Reddy breathed his last at a hospital on Tuesday. KCR recalled Reddy’s services for his constituency and people of the state. The entire village of Panchagam and adjoining hamlets turned up to pay their last respects to the departed leader and most of his followers and people grieved over the demise. Police had a touigh time controlling the people. (NSS)
