KCR approves 233 supernumerary posts for teachers of merged mandals

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao approved for creation of 233 supernumerary posts for adjustment of teachers from seven submerged Mandals of Andhra Pradesh State to Khammam District of Telangana State.

As per KCR’s instructions, a proposal to this effect was submitted by Commissioner of Tribal Welfare, Government of Telangana for CM approval. Out of 477 employees working in the submerged mandals, 304 employees (teaching and Non-teaching) opted to get shifting from submerged mandals to Khammam district and there are not enough of teaching & non-teaching) posts available to accommodate all those who opted to Telangana. Hence the creation of supernumerary became necessary.

Earlier, District Collector, Khammam in his letter to commissioner Tribal Welfare mentioned that 233 posts are the additional requirement and requested for creation of supernumerary posts. (INN)
