KCR acting like a dictator: Ponnam

Congress senior leader and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar on Wednesday accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of acting like a dictator.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, Ponnam alleged that KCR was not behaving like a democratically elected Chief Minister, but as a Zamindar of feudal times. He said all ministers in his cabinet too were behaving in a dictatorial manner. He referred the statement issued by Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav threatening that all those opposing government would be put behind the bars. He dared Talasani to arrest Congress leaders and said they would continue to oppose the anti-people policies of the TRS Government.

Ponnam claimed that the previous Congress regime of erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh sanctioned projects worth nearly Rs. 80,000 crore for Telangana. However, instead of completing those projects, KCR is announcing new projects for personal gains. He also asked KCR to stop acting like an expert on irrigation sector. (INN)
