TRS MP K. Kavitha on Thursday claimed that the Telangana Government has dropped its plans to introduce cheap liquor to respect public opinion against the proposal.
Speaking to media persons here, Kavitha said that the State Government wanted to introduce cheap liquor to prevent the people from ill-effects of ‘gudamba’. However, a majority of people were against the cheap liquor and therefore, the decision has been withdrawn.
Kavitha claimed that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was a public leader and takes decisions which are in favour of common people.
She announced that Nizamabad Town will be developed as the Smart City in the next one year. She said an amount of Rs. 204 crore was need to development Nizamabad. However, the previous Congress regime provided only Rs. 94 crore. She claimed that the remaining amount was released only after KCR became Chief Minister. She said one park would be established in all divisions. The town will also get underground drainage, drinking water and better sanitation arrangements as per a new Master Plan. (INN)
