Kavitha meets Rajnath on HC division, TRS MPs protest at Parliament House

TRS MP from Nizamabad and daughter of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Kavitha today urged Home Minister Rajnath Singh to take a final call on pending decision on Hyderabad High Court bifurcation as well as division of officials among two Telugu states.

Kavitha on Friday called on Home Minister in Delhi and urged him to sort out the issue immediately. Talking to media persons later, she accused the Centre of neglecting the crucial issues causing problems to Telangana State and its people. She alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was coming in the way of these two main issues. “We have staged a silent protest in Parliament for the speedy bifurcation of the high court and division of the officials”, she stated.

Though the Centre sought his opinion on these two crucial issues, Naidu was keeping quiet, she alleged. She demanded that the Union Cabinet request President Pranab Mukherjee to sort out the issue amicably.

Kavitha expressed concern that Telangana staff was suffering huge loss due to stay of AP staff in Hyderabad. Telangana government relieved electricity staff as per norms and will not pay salaries, she said. She also slammed Chandrababu Naidu for not retaining them.

Expressing doubts on current inquiry on Rishitheshwari case, she sought CBI probe for justice. She also said they sought intervention of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for the safe release of Indians abducted in Libya by ISIS terrorists.

Earlier, the TRS MPs staged a protest at the Parliament House for speedy division of the high court and officials. (NSS)
