K Vijayarama Rao quits TDP

Ahead of the ensuing GHMC elections, the TDP received yet another blow with former minister and former CBI director K Vijayarama Rao quitting the party.

Vijayarama Rao, who was elected from the Khairatabad Assembly constituency in 1999 was into then Chandrababu Naidu cabinet.

According to informed sources, Vijayarama Rao is likely to join the TRS. He became inactive after his defeat in 2004 elections and has been keeping a low profile since then. The TDP has lost four of its MLAs to the TRS after 2014 elections. (NSS)
