New Delhi: Responding to the rejection of the bail of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Somnath Bharti by the lower court, his wife, Lipika Bharti, on Tuesday said she hopes to get justice in due course.
“They have seen the merits in my case, and after going through the evidence and everything, they must have accordingly given the judgment,” Mitra told ANI.
“This is only the beginning of the procedure, and I am hopeful that as a single mother and a single woman who works very hard to make ends meet, I will gat justice in due course of time,” she added.
Bharti was earlier named in an FIR filed under several Sections of the Indian Penal code (IPC), including domestic violence and attempt to murder.
Lipika has been married to Bharti since 2010, but has been living separately from him since 2012 along with the couple’s two children in a rented accommodation in Dwarka. (ANI)
