Jupally reviews arrangements for IITF-2015

Minister for Industries, Handlooms & Textiles Jupally Krishna Rao today reviewed the arrangements for the State’s participation in India International Trade Fair (IITF-2015) to be held in New Delhi from November 14 regarding preparations for setting up of Telangana pavilion. The Minister is slated to inaugurate the Stall on November 14.

Ramanachary, Advisor to Govt, Arvind Kumar, Industries Secretary, Manick Raj, Industries Commissioner, Sunita Bhagawath of Tourism, Narasimha Reddy, VC, TSIIC, and other officials from line departments participated in the meeting.

The meeting was largely on suggestions on concepts of designs and execution of works of the Pavilion, including the entrance gate and murals in front of FACIA. It was suggested that the Golconda Fort and Yadadri would be the main theme of the Telangana Stall. Handlooms, Handicrafts would be showcased in the pavilion. The Cheriyal Scroll paintings, Pembarti sheet metal, Nirmal paintings, Dokra metal crafts, durries and carpets, silver filigree, Bidri, Gadwal weaves, Pochampally Ikat saris, batik, tempting cuisine of Telangana and so on.

There would be cultural shows which will feature Qawali , Okkudolu and Jai Jai Ho, the Telangana Ballet which would be the main attractions at the fair. The Logo has been shortlisted to Golconda. All the government schemes would be highlighted especially the Mission Kakatiya, Water Grid, Shaadi Mubarak, two-bedroom houses and other flagship programs would be presented.

It was felt that the presentation should be attractive, thematic and engrossing. The minister said all efforts should be made to make Telangana Stall the best in the fair, as the TS-iPASS has given Telangana a world reputation, the World was watching Telangana. Business meetings with trade delegations are proposed be held in co-ordination with FICCI/CII for promotion of the New Industrial Investment policy of the State. It was also decided that food stalls will showcase the Deccani and Telangana delicacies food lLike the Hyderabad Biryani which is famous the world over, and Telangana snacks like Chekkenalu, sarvapindi, Ariselu, Sakkinalu, Boondi Laddu, bakshaly, naatu Kodi pulusu, Golinchina Mamsam, Patchi pulusu, Undralla Payasam and other mouthwatering items would be served.
