Jolie’s new `symbolic` tattoo pays tribute to Cambodia

Washington D.C., Dec. 13: Seems like Angelina Jolie is really addicted to tattoos and as of recent she got a new ink on her forearm.

Showing off her new tattoo, the 40-year-old actress was spotted at the Cambodia Film Festival in Phnom Penh and her ink was clearly visible to her fans, the People magazine reports.

The black ink is believed to be tribute to Cambodia.

The tattoo is linked to Buddhist beliefs and consists of sacred geometrical, animal and deity designs accompanied by Pali phrases that offer power, protection, fortune, charisma and other benefits for the bearer.

Notably, the actress adopted her first son Maddox when he was seven months old from Cambodia.

The ‘Maleficent’ actress already has a large collection of tattoos, including the phrase ‘Know your rights’ written in gothic print across her nape, the word ‘Determination’ in Arabic script inside her right forearm and a large Latin cross tattoo on her hip.(ANI)
