Telugu hero-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena party finally got recognition from the Election Commission as a political party.
According to the information, the Election Commission of Telangana State today stated Jana Sena was recognized as a political party without any special sign. It also issued an order to this extent. The actor had applied to the Election Commission last year seeking recognition to Jana Sena as a political outfit. With this, it is clear that the new party would contest in the forthcoming GHMC elections.
It may be mentioned here that some time ago, the actor had said his political party would contest the municipal elections in twin cities. Jana Sena got recognition as a political outfit at a time when the ruling TRS was luring many leaders from other parties for the GHMC elections. The TRS was trying to attract political leaders to get Mayor post. (NSS)
