Its ‘Congress’ old habit to ‘make noise’: Naqvi

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Tuesday said that the Congress party only knows how to ‘make noise’ in Parliament sessions and added that the party only wants to create ‘disturbance’.

Naqvi said that the present government wants discussion, whereas the opposition only wants disturbance.

“We want a discussion and the opposition wants disturbance. As far as Congress is concerned, they have a lot of skeletons in their closet. We will give ‘super fit’ answers to the question raised by the Congress. We are ready to have a discussion on any topic. Congress has an old habit of not having discussion and only making noise. We believe that everyone should stay together,” Naqvi told ANI here.

The Monsoon Session of the Parliament, which is to begin today, is expected to be stormy affair with the opposition set to take on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA Government over the Lalit Modi row and the Vyapam scam.

HRD Minister Smriti Irani is also expected to be in the spotlight due to a controversy over her educational qualifications.

Yesterday, an all party meeting was called by the Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan to ensure smooth proceedings of both the Houses. (ANI)
