Israeli military says 3 hurt in West Bank car attack

Jerusalem: The Israeli military says three people were injured when a Palestinian motorist rammed his vehicle into them in the West Bank. The Palestinian was shot by nearby troops.

The military declined to comment on the condition of the three victims of the attack, or that of the Palestinian driver. The identity of the wounded was also unclear.

Israeli media showed pictures of a white car overturned as Israeli soldiers tended to the wounded.

The incident comes amid high tensions after suspected Jewish extremists torched a Palestinian home in the West Bank last week, killing a Palestinian toddler and severely wounding his parents and 4-year-old brother.
