‘Injured’ Dhawan ruled out of Sri Lanka Test series

New Delhi, Aug.17 : Opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the remaining Test series against Sri Lanka due to hairline fracture.

Confirming the news, the BCCI said that the 29-year-old has suffered a hairline fracture in his hand and will take four to six weeks to recover from the injury.

Earlier, India had suffered a shocking 63-run defeat against Sri Lanka in the first Test of the three-match series held at Galle.

Dhawan had scored 134 runs and 28 runs in the first and second innings respectively.

The two teams will play their second match from August 20 and final match from August 28 in Colombo. (ANI)
