Mumbai: Abhijit Sen, a Kolkata based businessman, has told CBI that prime accused in Sheena Bora murder case Indrani was in relationship with him while she was married to her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna.
According to a report published in The Quint, Abhijit said that “I came into the contact of Indrani sometime in 1998-99 through our common friends’ circle. Since then I know Indrani. Our friendship developed gradually which resulted in a physical relationship with her and me,” The Quint quoted Abhijit’s statement to CBI. Recalling Indrani’s past relationships, Sen has also revealed that Indrani also shared close relations with the son of a top Britain-based businessman, two IPS officers and an alleged accused in the Naval War Room Leak case.
Sen also divulged details about her relation with Sanjeev Khanna, who is also an accused in Sheena Bora murder case.
“Indrani wanted to end her marriage with Sanjeev as he was excessively alcoholic and used to lose his temper after getting drunk,” Quint quoted him as saying.
Later, Sen remained in touch with Indrani even when the latter married media honcho Peter Mukerjea and moved to Mumbai.
“On the wedding day with Peter, she borrowed a sum of Rs 4 lakh from me,” he further revealed.
