Indian Food Business Delegation visits Jeddah Diwaniah

Jeddah Diwaniah welcomes Indian Foodex Saudi 2015 business delegation of approximately 60 Indian companies, all active in the Agro-Food sector, on Thursday, 19th, November, 2015. The Indian delegates came to Jeddah to attend Foodex Saudi 2015 a 4 day event being held from 17th November to the 20th November 2015 at the Jeddah Centre for Forums & Events in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the visit of Jeddah Diwaniah Indian delegates interact with Saudi Businessman’s about the latest and advanced products and services including health foods, ingredients, processing and packaging techniques, restaurant and cafe products, tea and coffee, various kinds of food items and different types of spirits and beverages, bakery, catering company products, cold drinks, confectionary, convenience foods, dairy, diet foods, fresh produced food products, gourmet foods, grocery products.
Hussam Al Kahtani, was the driving force of the event as he personally welcomed all Indian delegates on behalf of Jeddah Diwaniah management by providing superb hospitality and he welcomed more such B2B meetings between the two countries on regular basis and he thanks Mir Gazanfar Ali Zaki of SIBN for arranging the B2B meetings whenever Indian delegation visits from India to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Sulaiman I. Al Namlah said that Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are traditionally significant markets for Indian Basmati Rice, Fresh Fruits and Vegetables, Processed Food Products like ready-to-eat food/curries, soups, honey, fresh/frozen fruits & vegetables, chutneys, pickles, herbal tea and organic products and he is very much happy with B2B meeting arrange by SIBN.

Nabil Murad, in advertising and marketing, stressed the need to take a business delegation to India and he highly appreciated SIBN services in fostering Indo-Saudi tourism, trade, industry, business and cultural relations through informal meetings and festivals at Jeddah Diwaniah.

Saudi young Entrepreneur Abdullah Al-Muhaidib nephew of Emad A. Al-Muhaidib, highly appreciated the efforts of SIBN in boosting the links between Saudi and Indian businessmen and he also said that following his discussion with the Indian business representatives from the Foodex Saudi 2015, “Those who have done this have succeeded. SRH Fahmi Consul (Commerce), Consulate General of India, Jeddah said that this Indian delegation is giving a boost to the Indian food industry by encouraging more bilateral trade between the two nations in the food industry domain and this delegation represents all major sectors of food industry right from the export intensive spice industry to the snack food and confectionary sector.

Promod Kumar Agarwal, Second Secretary (Commerce & Trade) Embassy of India, Riyadh said that this Indian Businessman’s visit aims to build long term trade relations between the two nations in the food sector by promoting investment opportunities in India, joint venture opportunities and export and import of various food products.

Mir Gazanfar Ali Zaki Executive Secretary of SIBN said India is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and has emerged as a key destination for foreign investors and exporters in recent years. According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), India will grow by 7.5 per cent this fiscal year (which ends March 2016), faster than China over a similar period and he also thanked Khalid Al Fozan, Emad A. Al-Muhaidib, Hamaed Al Afraj and Jeddah Diwaniah management for their hospitality.
