India seek to gain momentum after T20 series loss against Proteas

New Delhi: After losing the three-match home T20 series against South Africa, India will aim to bounce back and gain some momentum in the third and final game at the iconic Eden Garden stadium on Thursday.

The Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led side are expected to make changes in the starting line-up, with Amit Mishra being widely anticipated to replace either Axar Patel or Harbhajan Singh.

Also, opener Shikhar Dhawan looked rusty in the first two games and could pave way for the Ajinkya Rahane.

Meanwhile, South Africa displayed their dominance in the initial stage of the 72-day marathon tour after registering two convincing wins at the picturesque Dharamshala and Cuttack. They will be determined to make a clean sweep to further stamp their authority on the Freedom Series.

After the conclusion of the T20 series, both sides will also take on each other in five ODIs and the following four-match Test series. (ANI)
