India, Greece decide to enhance bilateral defence ties

New Delhi: India and Greece have decided to enhance bilateral defence ties as visiting Greek Defence Minister Panos Kammenos held talks with his Indian counterpart Manohar Parrikar in New Delhi.

Kammenos, arrived in the national capital on Friday on a three-day visit.

A Defence Ministry statement said, both sides held discussions on various issues in the field of defence and security and agreed to deepen cooperation between their defence establishments, including in the areas of naval cooperation, training and other professional exchanges.

The two sides agreed to explore cooperation in the area of defence technology, research and development and also shared their perspectives on regional security issues.

The Greek Defence Minister is accompanied by an industrial delegation and is scheduled to join an interactive session today with representatives from Greek and Indian industries. (ANI)
