Ideological partners RSS, Hindu Mahasabha clash over Eid Milap

Hyderabad: Hindu Mahasabha has announced that it is going to oppose the All India Ulema meet being organised by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Muslim wing on August 8 in Lucknow.

It is to be noted that RSS has planned a series of Iftar and Eid Milaap functions this month, in which prominent clerics from across the country will be invited to that meet to talk on communal harmony, the first being held in Moradabad district on Tuesday.

However, Hindu Mahasabha national working president Kamlesh Tiwari said “This ulema meet is only a drama to attract Muslim voters for BJP and misguide both Hindus and Muslims”.

Tiwari alleged that “RSS first used the Ram temple issue to attract Hindu voters. Now, it is trying to appease Muslims by holding Iftar parties, Ulema meets and Eid Milaap to benefit its political wing, BJP, in the upcoming Assembly elections in the state,” he claimed.

“We will make a line of defense around the venue of the meet, and will not let the ulemas and RSS leaders enter on August 8. “We even prepared to face a clash if it happens, he added.

Claiming that “history shows Hindu and Muslim were never united in the past too”, Tiwari said we can’t be united with Muslim.

So, such Ulema meets, under RSS banner, are against the ideology of RSS and ABHM will not let it happen,” he added.

“People don’t want harmony between Hindus and Muslims”, we want development. Hindus must ask what RSS have done for the Hindu Rashtra,” he said.
