Hyderabad’s Sherwani and Biryani famous in the entire world: “Hyderabad Ke Gali Kooche”, book released

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Labour, Mr. Bandaru Dattatreya told that Hyderabad has a long history of 400 years. There is a need to maintain religious tolerance, Ganga-Jamuna civilization, brotherhood, love and affection. He was addressing as the Chief Guest at the book releasing function of Dr. Anand Raj Verma’s book “Hyderabad Ke Gali Kooche” yesterday at Salarjung Museum auditorium. He told that Hyderabad is more beautiful that the other cities of India. Love and Affection are its marks of identification. We should not forget our ancient traditions and our identity. Even if thousands of Skyscrapers are built in Hyderabad, our old history and traditions cannot be forgotten. He further told that on the occasion of the visit of US President, he was shown only the modern Hyderabad. He should have been shown the historical places like Charminar etc. of the old city. He impressed upon the TRS Govt. of Telangana to preserve 400 years history of Hyderabad. He also said that Hyderabad’s Sherwani and Biryani are famous in the entire world. In addition to this, its culture also has a unique identity throughout the world. He congratulated Dr. Anand Raj Verma for his book. Dr. Verma has covered 66 localities of Hyderabad.

Highlighting the civilization of Hyderabad and its history, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Dy. CM of Telangana State told that the earlier rulers had made an attempt to distort the history of Hyderabad. With the formation of separate Telangana State, an opportunity has been given to us to revoke old traditions and culture.

Dr. Mustafa Kamal congratulated Dr. Verma for writing this book. Nawab Mahboob Alam Khan applauded the efforts of Dr. Verma and congratulated him. He advised him to get it translated into English so that a large number of readers could benefit out of it.
