Measuring an incredible six ft in length and nine ft in breadth, Earth Platinum , a limited edition, has 128 pages and weighs 120 kg and is bound by hand. “ It will represent the best available of the world’s latest technology, cartography, and photography,” the publisher said.

The “ gigapan” image of Charminar, shot by Hyderabad- based photographer D Ravinder Reddy, was selected among thousands of pictures from India. “ Our book is the better ( sic) for including your image of Charminar,” Gordon Cheers said, in a congratulatory message to Reddy.
