Hyderabad Police ban DJ, bike racing in Milad Juloos

South Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police V. Satyanarayana has made it clear that the Hyderabad Police would not allow use of DJ during the Milaad Juloos, to be organised on December 24 on the occasion of birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The DCP, along with other senior police officials, held an interactive meeting with religious heads on Wednesday night, to discuss the arrangements for Milaad Juloos. The DCP informed that the use of DJ has been banned for all religious processions in the city. Further, he said that strict action would be taken against the youth who indulge in bike racing or riding of bikes while removing their silencers. He urged the religious heads to create awareness among the youth to maintain discipline during the procession.

The meeting was attended by various religious heads including officials of Sunni United Forum, the representative body of nearly 300 Muslim organisation. Forum president Moulana Syed Mohammed Auliya Hussaini alias Murtuza Pasha, Moulana Syed Sayeed Quadri, Moulana Ali Quadri, Moulana Syed Waheed Pasha, General Secretary HAS India, Additional DCP Babu Rao, ACP Falaknum Abdul Bari and others attended the meeting. The religious leaders have assured the city police of complete cooperation in peaceful and smooth conduct of Milaad Juloos.

Speaking to media persons later, Moulana Murtuza Pasha informed that the Milaad Juloos will be flagged off at 11 AM on December 24 at historic Mecca Masjid by Moulana Syed Qubool Pasha Shattari. The procession will come to an end near Hotel Volta in Moghalpur at about 3 PM. He said blood donation camps would also be organised as part of the Milaad celebrations. (INN)
