New Delhi: GMR Hyderabad International Airport has received approval for implementing end-to-end e-boarding for domestic passengers.

After an assessment of the pilot e-boarding project, the Commissioner of Security Civil Aviation (CoSCA), Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has given the approval, GMR said in a statement today.

Once fully implemented, a passenger would need only a mobile e-boarding card and his Aadhaar number to gain entry into the airport.

“The e-boarding system at Hyderabad airport also removes the necessity of stamping the boarding cards, for passengers who carry physical boarding cards,” the statement said.

GMR Hyderabad International Airport’s CEO S G K Kishore said it is the first airport in the country to get approval for E-boarding facility.
