‘Holding Paris climate talks is best response to attacks’

Washington: Going ahead with the UN climate talks in Paris is the “best response” to the terror attacks that killed 130 people in the French capital, French President Francois Hollande said today.

In a speech to the French community during a visit to Washington, Hollande said the November attacks claimed by the Islamic State group were “the most important event of recent years.”

But he said the decision to hold the November 30-December 11 climate summit anyway is “also the best response one can make to terrorist attacks.
