‘Hesitant’ Pak wanted to dilute issue of terrorism: BJP

New Delhi, Aug. 23 : Minority Affairs Minister Najma Heptullah on Sunday said that Pakistan called off the NSA-level talks as it wanted to dilute the issue of terrorism.

“Pakistan’s intention was not clear. Sushma ji said it clearly that we wanted him to come. But Pakistan was hesitant and wanted to dilute the issue of terrorism,” Heptullah told ANI here.

“They were in two minds about coming for the talks as many evidence of terrorism in Pakistan was found. So, they made excuse and called off the talks,” she added.

Pakistan called off the NSA-level talks with India late on Saturday night.

A statement issued by Pakistan Foreign Office said the proposed talks will not serve any purpose if conducted on the basis of what it called “preconditions” laid down by India. (ANI)
