A delegation of Majlis Bachao Tahreek called on the Director Archaeological Department and Museum and lodged a compliant while producing proofs of giving saffron hue to heritage structures of the old city.
MBT leaders Altaf Naseeb Khan, Dr. Samdani and Anwer led by Ex-Corporator MBT Amjadullah Khan expressed anger over giving saffron hue to Watch Tower located at Osmania Hospital Mortuary Road by putting a picture of idols. They stated in the complaint that such mischiefs were also done in the past which aim at disrupting the peaceful atmosphere of the city.
Expressing concerned over indifference of police and Archaeological Department they said a saint belonging to Punjab is trying to give saffron tint to the Watch Towers located adjacent to Musi River near Nayapul by erecting idols of Hindu deities which creates restlessness among the residents. They rued that police and officials of Archaeological department have turned a blind eye to the mischief and remain mute spectators.
