Job Description

Provide pre and post sales technical support to Xilinx FAEs and customers by means of software, system and module level design evaluations and issue resolution, occasional customer visits and informal training. Deliver Titanium Engineering Services to customers in assigned Region with potential travel to other Region in EMEA. Travel to customer sites to work with them side by side as the Xilinx expert. As a secondary job function, provide feedback to various product development teams to help define future product enhancements and evolution including IP cores, device architectures and software tools.
Must be able to complete the following with minimal guidance:
Help debug customer designs and identify software and/or hardware issues through simulation and on-site analysis of typical FPGA design issues
Provide technical assistance to help achieve FAE design win targets, mainly in the Embedded Processing space
Develop and conduct product demonstrations
Run design benchmarks (evaluate size, performance & power)
Convert existing designs to Xilinx target device

Perform HDL code optimization

Write, Optimize or Modify Software driver code
Write, Optimize, Modify or Analyze SW low level applications in Standalone or RTOS environment

Help customers achieve timing closure
Work with product groups to provide feedback and suggestions including filing of change requests for documentation, software, etc
Support customer project design reviews
Develop, recommend and support customer design methodologies

Develop key macros for strategic customer designs

Qualification should be from electronics fields only..

UG: B.Tech/B.E. – Computers, Electronics/Telecommunication

PG:M.Tech – Computers, Electronics/Telecommunication
Doctorate:Doctorate Not Required
BS/MS in Electronic/Computer Engineering.
5+ yrs of relevant experience

Strong knowledge of Processor Architectures and designs both Hardware and Software. Work experience on ARM processor architectures and tools will be considered as a preference.

Proficient knowledge of VHDL/Verilog coding, synthesis (Synplicity/Exemplar), and simulation (MTI, VCS, NC-Sim).

Demonstrated capability for lab and system debug utilizing common test equipment. Excellent interpersonal, telephone, written and group communication skills. Good organizational skills with the ability to multi task, prioritize, and track many activities. Service and results oriented with a strong desire to support customers and work as an extension of a dynamic sales team. Strong references.

Working knowledge of most recent Xilinx FPGA and CPLD products as well as Xilinx and third party EDA tools. Experience supporting customers. Xilinx specific design experience including demonstrable proficiency with Xilinx design methodology and implementation tools.

Foreigner Languages: required fluent written and spoken English. Written and spoken French language considered as a preference.
