Hang our sons if guilty, CM Siddaramaiah criticise BJP leader Eshwarappa

Mysuru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday criticise BJP leader K S Eshwarappa for his comments that his son and the son of PWD minister Dr H.C. Mahadevappa were involved in illegal sand mining, in the state Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said if the allegations were proved,he would “hang” his son.

He said. “Let him prove he just cannot talk as he wish. I haven’t seen people indulging in such cheap talks in my life time,” Siddaramaiah told reporters, hitting back at BJP leader K S Eshwarappa.

The CM spoke to mediapersons at Mysuru Airport he said , “We did not want communalists (read BJP) to come to power. In the five years they ruled BBMP, they borrowed Rs 9,000 crore and were involved in several scams. They failed to manage solid waste. They converted the Garden City into a garbage city.” on allegation that he had entered into a secret pact with his former mentor H.D. Deve Gowda to win the BBMP mayoral poll.

Siddaramaiah described BJP leaders as “most irresponsible and useless lot.”

Eshwarappa, The opposition leader of Legislative Council said at the ‘Rita Chitanya Yatre’ rally on Sunday that officials told me that influential politicians are behind it, we are unable to do any thing. Today it has to become clear who are those influential politicians are in it Mahadevappa’s son who is looting? Is it Siddaramaiah’s son who is looting? Who is looting?”
