Handsome pay package of Rs:32 Lakhs for two UoH students

Two students from the University of Hyderabad (UoH) have been offered a staggering pay package of Rs:32 lakhs (60,00,000 Japanese yen) per annum by the Japanese based company Works Application Co. Ltd.,

Abhijit Parab of M. Tech-IT and Robin Thomas of M. Tech-CS were selected under the campus placement by the company from about 50 odd students to work in their office in Singapore as R&D Engineers.

Vice-Chancellor of UoH, Prof. P Appa Rao expressing happiness at the news said that it is a wonderful achievement for the students and a proud moment for the University and School of Computer and Information Sciences (SCIS) that a Multi-national company like Works Application has chosen UoH for the campus placements.

Abhijit Parab, a native of Goa did his B. Tech from Goa College of Engineering and joined UoH for his MTech in Information Technology. He credits his Mother, Father and brother for his success and mentions the tons of motivation and support from all his friends, colleagues and teachers without whom this achievement would not have been possible. Robin Thomas who is a native of Kerala did his B. Tech from Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology, Kakkanad, Kochi majoring in Electronics & Communications. He is presently doing his M. Tech in Computer Science at UoH. While thanking Works Applications Co. Ltd for offering him this job, he makes special thanks to the Placement Cell and placement coordinators at UoH, his parents, department, professors, friends and the almighty God for all the guidance and blessings leading to this job offer.

The students selected are from the SCIS which is one of the top performing Schools in UoH. The faculty of the School are highly knowledgeable, actively involved in research, and student-friendly.
