Hajj 2015 arrangements reviewed

Hyderabad: Mr. Mohammed Jalaluddin Akbar, IFS, Director of Minorities Welfare Department held a consultative meeting with the officials of Wakf Board and Hajj Committee. He revived the arrangements of Hajj Camp of Hajj House, Nampally and also the facilities to be provided at the Hajj Terminal at Shamsabad International Airport. An Engineer of GMR also visited Hajj House and offered some suggestions. He promised that he would give a brief sketch of the Hajj camp. Hajj Committee has accepted to face the challenge of making arrangements of Hajj pilgrims daily for three flights. Mr. Akbar, Prof. Shukoor and Mr. Mohammed Asadullah, CEO of Wakf Board have determined to offer better services. Tenders have been invited for Hajj camp arrangements. Wakf Board will take care of the cleanliness of Wakf Board buildings, bathrooms and electrical fittings. Wakf Board has also decided to undertake the work of white washing in the cellar area of Wakf Board building. It has also been decided to make use of the three floors of the new hajj house complex which is under construction adjacent to Hajj House. Counters for various facilities would be provided on the open land.

 

Mr. Shukoor told that Hajj Camp would start functioning on 31st August. The first flight of the Hajj pilgrims will fly on 2nd September. He also informed that the distribution of suitcases to Hajj pilgrims in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and other districts of Telangana is in progress. So far, 1560 Hajj pilgrims have obtained suitcases. In the next two days the remaining suitcases will also be distributed. Arrangements would be made for the waitlisted Hajj pilgrims who get confirmation at the eleventh hour. A meeting of the coordination committee consisting of the officials from various departments has been convened on 20th August. Arrangement for Hajj terminal at the Airport is in full swing.
