Haj flights in MP from Aug 31, 3,000 pilgrims to fly

Indore: Nearly 3,000 Haj pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh will start leaving for their journey from August 31.

This year, 11 flights have been arranged from Indore and Bhopal for the Haj pilgrims.

“As per the schedule, nearly 3,000 pilgrims from the state would fly to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia for their Haj journey,” MP Haj Committee Chief Executive Officer Dawood Ahmed Khan told PTI today.

From Indore, about 1,650 pilgrims will be sent in six flights between August 31 and September 5. Besides, around 1,350 people will be flown on the Haj journey from Bhopal in five flights between September 6 and 10, he said.

This time, Saudi airline Flynas has been tasked to regulate the flight service from Bhopal and Indore, he said.

The preparations for the Haj pilgrimage in Indore and Bhopal are in final stages and arrangements are being made to provide better facilities to the people visiting the holy place, Khan added.
