Greece, Finance Minister bailout deal broadly agreed, says Finance Minister

London, Aug 11 : Greek finance minister Euclid Tsakalotos has said that the country has broadly agreed to the substance of a bailout deal with its creditors.

According to the BBC, Tsakalotos said that two or three small issues were still pending with the creditors.

The bailout agreement is required to keep the country in the eurozone and prevent bankruptcy.

The government of Greece expects to push the new 86 billion euro three year agreement through parliament later this week.

Tsakalotos said, after all-night talks at a central Athens hotel with negotiators representing Greece’s creditors, that they were ‘very close’. (ANI)
