‘Graceful’ Pernia to perform martial act in ‘Jaanisaar’

New Delhi, Aug 5 : Stylist-turned-actress Pernia Qureshi, who is debuting with Muzzafar Ali’s ‘Jaanisaar’, seems to have done everything from romance to some thrilling action in her very first movie.

The movie will showcase the fashion-entrepreneur cum actress in a new light wherein she would be seen killing people with marital art moves, gun shots and will also be spotted riding horses just like rest of the freedom fighters.

Talking about her experience, the debutant told exclusively to ANI, “My character in the movie is very cool. She knows how to use a gun, good moves of martial art, how to ride a horse and so on. I underwent training to be able to do all these. I was scaring everyone after learning the art. I thoroughly enjoyed it.”

The actress continued saying that horse riding was the toughest job since she is scared of animals in general. She exclaimed that in one of the scenes even the professionals were quite worried but then the shot came out really well and she was happy about it.

‘ Jaanisaar’ is a revolutionary love story between courtesan of Avadh, India, and a prince brought up in England. The story is set 20 years after the first war of Indian independence of 1857.

Pernia will be seen sharing the screen with Pakistani actor Imran Abbas.

The movie has been directed by ‘Umrao Jaan’ fame Muzzaffar Ali and is all set to release on August 7. (ANI)
