Govt will resolve Film Industry issues: Talasani

Commercial Taxes and Cinematography Minister, T Srinivas Yadav today promised to resolve all the issues pertaining to Film Industry and provide all help for its development in Telangana State.

Talking to reporters after a review meeting with film producers Daggubati Suresh Babu, Kalyan and Shankar at Secretariat here, Srinivas Yadav said that the government will consider giving new awards in place of Nandi awards which were pending for three years. He also said that the government will look into the pleas like introduction of online ticket selling through FDC and Commercial Taxes wing, single window system to promote small films and promotion of film industry in a big way. Earlier they saw a short film on beautiful film shooting spots in Telangana which will help reduce production cost of films.

A decision will be taken to this extent by apprising all the issues to the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao he said. A committee will finalise the name for new awards by replacing Nandi name. He asked the film personalities to set up a film institute on the lines of Pune Institute he said adding that steps will be taken to provide facilities to the 2000 families living in 63 acres in Chitrapuri near Manikonda in the city. Steps will be taken for tourism development and film development he said. (NSS)
