Govt Schools In Ruins Due To Govt’s Negligence: TSCSTUS

Telangana SC, ST Upadhyaya Sangham (TSCSTUS) State president Banot Kisan Naik here on Thursday lamented that government schools in the State were in a pathetic condition due to the negligence by the successive governments.
Speaking to mediapersons here, Kishan Naik said the government schools have turned into the exclusive schools for SC, ST, BC and Minority students. As only the children of these poorer sections were studying in the government schools, the successive governments have been criminally neglecting them. He alleged that education in the government schools has become hopeless due to absence of a regular Mandal Education Officer and Dy EO.
The TSCSTUS leader urged the State government to take immediate measures to improve primary education and introduce LKG, UKG in English medium and post one teacher for one class. He also urged the government to help the SC, ST employees to prosecute higher studies in accordance with the GOMS 342 and solve the problems of CRP and part-time sweepers working in the government schools.
The other demands of TSCSTUS are: Release of AHRO GO for the benefit of teachers working in the Agency areas; release orders treating DSC 2002 untrained teachers’ appointment on the same day March 3, 2003; Two notional increments of Rs 398 to special teachers; appoint DSC regular teachers in KGBV schools and so on.
TSCSTUS honorary president M. Santosh Naik, general secretary S Kailasam, Associate president Yanam Vijay, secretary K Narayana, B Harilal, Lakshminarayana and P. Devaraj were present. (NSS)
