Govt. plans to celebrate Maulana Azad’s birth anniversary on large scale

Telangana government has decided to celebrate Minority Welfare Day on large scale on November 11, on the occasion of birth anniversary of the first Education Minister of the country, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali convened review meeting with the officials of Minority Welfare Department wherein different programmes were finalised.

In the function government plans to issue 1000 auto rickshaws under ‘Owner Cum Driver’ scheme. Besides Best Urdu Teachers and Best Urdu Students Awards, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad National Award will be presented on the occasion of Minority Welfare Day. 5 teachers and 5 students will be selected from each district. Deputy Chief Minister has directed officials to make grand preparation for Minority Welfare Day.

Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel, Managing Director Minority Finance Corporation, B Shafiullah, Director Urdu Academy Prof. S A Shukoor, General Manager Minority Finance Corporation Syed Vilayat Husain and others attended the meeting.
