In the wake of heavy rains lashing out the twin cities and adjoining areas for the last two days inundating low-lying areas, the Telangana government directed the officials to tackle the situation in coordination with GHMC officials. The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who is on a China tour, was reviewing the situation and directed them to take steps on a war-footing to clear storm waters, he said. The people can inform the officials to attend their woes of the rains, he added. (NSS)
