Goa delegation visits GHMC headquarters

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is planning to take up various developmental activities with regard to various civic related issues duly involving citizens / Residential Welfare Associations and to see that basic civic infrastructure and minimum facilities to the citizens are being planned, said GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy.

A 25-member delegation from four Municipalities from Goa State has called on the GHMC Commissioner as part of the study tour to know the various developmental activities of the GHMC on Wednesday. Interacting with the delegation, the Commissioner said that the GHMC was striving hard to make the city in to a slum free and also to the standards of the global city.

The Commissioner said that the GHMC has taken several unique schemes like the 2BHK houses to develop slum areas. He also briefed the delegations about initiatives like Parichayam Karyakramam.

Pednim, Municipal Chairperson Sumithra Kurtal Kal, Marmugam, Municipal Vice Chairman, Saifullah Khan, Sankli Municipal Vice Chairman, Damu some of the Counselors and officials from the Goa Municipal Corporation, along with Jayaraj KKennedy, Additional Commissioner (UCD) Shashi Kirana Chary, Project Director have participated in the meeting where the senior officials of the GHMC have given Power Point Presentation on various developmental activities of the GHMC.
