In addition to accountabilities listed above in Job Purpose: Provides incident and problem analytical support in support of resolution, follow up and prevention thereof.
Investigates assigned problems through to resolution or root cause.
Coordinates the actions of others as necessary to assist with the analysis and resolution actions for problems and known errors.
Monitors progress on the resolution of known errors and advising incident management staff on the best available workaround for incidents.
Embodies a Prevent and Predict mentality Plays a key supportive role in ensuring the successful end-to-end deployment associated with a release.
Helps to plan the deployment, during the service design stage of the service lifecycle, in conjunction with personnel from other teams and functions.
Provides technical and application guidance and support throughout the release process, including known errors and workarounds.
Provides feedback on the effectiveness of the release.
Performs an impact analysis to support the application teams Supports the delivery of continuous improvements to the job-related IT service management processes and IT services.
Assumes responsibility for consolidating data from multiple sources.
Assumes responsibility for producing trends and providing feedback on the trends such as whether the trends are positive or negative what their impact is likely to be, and if they are predictable for the future.
Assumes responsibility for producing reports on service or system performance based on the negotiated OLAs and SLAs and improvement initiatives.

Essential: o University working and thinking level, degree in computer science or comparable education / experience
Desirable: o ITIL V3 certification o Good knowledge of Service Management
Fluency (oral and written) in English, any additional language is a plus
More than 8 years of relevant experience
More than 6 years of IT experience
More than 3 year experience supporting a globally spanned (international) environment
Experience in the area of virtualization and other technologies used within GIS
Experience in infrastructure architecture and design of complex distributed systems environments, including failover techniques, recovery/rollback, and application partitioning is benefit.
Experience with modern software development methodologies (JAVA, .NET), with emphasis on software and hardware architecture, and infrastructure design and development is benefit.
MS SQL and/or Oracle administration experience is a plus
Strong Linux or Windows server systems experience is required
Skilled in installation and configuration of AD/DNS/DHCP environments is desirable
