Bengaluru: A 16-year-old girl, who was attacked with a machete by three persons, including a man whose proposal she had spurned, managed to nab him despite suffering deep injuries in her hand, in Mandya in Karnataka, police said on Thursday.
The incident occurred on October 31 and the profusely bleeding Brinda Kumari managed to hold on to Ravikumar, who had worked for her father and sacked recently after he allegedly misbheaved with her.
With the help of passersby, she handed him over to police, who have arrested him.
The girl, studying in a college, is now undergoing treatment at Hosmat Hospital in Bengaluru and has undergone surgery.
Kumari was attacked by three machete-wielding men in Mandya, causing deep wounds in her hands after she spurned the proposal of one of the attackers, Mandya Superintendent of Police Bhushan G Borse told PTI.
