Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has started preparing for the elections. A notification has been issued for reorganizing 150 Municipal Wards. People have been given 7 days time to offer their objections.
Earlier, GHMC had planned for enhancement of Municipal division but this proposal was withdrawn and it has decided to reorganize the existing wards. The said notification does not provide the details of reserved constituencies. This step has been taken to provide uniformity of voters in the constituencies since it was presumed that in some constituencies the number of voters is more.
